월경전 증후군에 대한 임상적 고찰

Abstract
Background
: Most women have regular menstruation since their menarche. According to a regular menstrual cycle, the hormone levels change. Also physical and mental impairments occur before menstruation. However. only recently have the interests and interest of the medical community in PMS increased. Therefore we gathered information concerning the frequency, and type of PMS in these study.

Methods : In this research, 277 first and second-year high school students and 65 Margaret Pritchard Nursing college students were surveyed during the period from July 1991 to August 1991.

Results : Of the 330 subjects, 26(7.9%) suffered from PMS. According to the Dawood's classification, the degree of the disease was as follows : 19(73.1%), mild ; 2(7.7%), moderate ; 5(19.2%), severe. Of the symptoms, fatigue is the most often experienced(88%). 11 subjects have taken medication for relief.

Conclusion : We gathered information concerning the frequency and type of PMS. The purpose of this research is informed and aid young women through counseling and treatment of problem.
초록
연구배경 : 대부분의 여성에서는 초경과 더불어 주기적인 월경을 겪게 되는데 이 월경주기에 따른 호르몬의 분비변화에 대한 반응으로 신체적, 정신적 변화가 나타나게 된다. 어떠한 경우에 있어서는 월경전기에 상당한 장애를 가져올 수 있다. 그러나 월경전증후군에 대한 의학적 관심과 치료에 대한 연구는 최근에 들어서야 이루어지게 되었다. 이에 월경전증후군의 빈도와 그 양상을 조사하고 또한 약물사용여부에 대하여 알아보고자 한다.

방법 : 1991년 7월부터 8월까지 전주시내 모여고 1,2년생 277명과 본 병원부설 간호전문대학생 65명을 대상으로 설문조사하여 월경전증후군의 빈도와 그 양상에 대하여 조사하였다.

결과 : 월경전증후군의 빈도는 조사대상자 330명중 26명에서 관찰되어 7.9%의 빈도를 보였으며 월경전증후군 환자 26명중 Dawood분류에 의하여 경증이 19명(73.1%)로 가장 많았으며 중등중, 중증이 7.7%, 19.2%이었다. 주요증상으로는 피로감이 23명(88%)로 가장 많았으며 약물을 복용한 적이 있는 사람은 11명으로 42.3%였다.

결론 : 월경전증후군의 빈도와 그 양상을 조사하고 약물사용 여부에 대하여 알아봄으로써 젊은 여성에 있어서 정신적 증상 및 신체증상에 대하여 상담 및 치료에 도움이 되고자 한다.
