정기 건강검진을 통하여 나타난 일부 도시지역 성인의 과체중과 그 영향 (A Study on Overweight and Its Effect in Urban Area)

Abstract

Blood pressure, total cholesterol and fasting blood sugar among overweighed people who does not show any evidence of healthy problems at all were carried out and following results were obtained.
A. Epidemiological view;
Incidence of overweight in 2223 healthy individuals which includes 1871 males and 352 females was;
1. Incidence of overweight(according to Korean Broca's Index) in healthy male were 8.5% in the age group of twenties, 23.8% of the thirties, 19.4% of the forties, 25.3% of the fifties and healthy female were 7.5% in the age group of twenties, 37.0% of the thirties, 50.8% of the forties, 81.3% of the fifties.
Incidence of overweight were increased with age which tendency is especially true in female.
Incidence of overweight was higher in female than male after age of thirties.
2. The systolic and diastolic blood pressure was increased with age in both sex and was higher in male than female.
3. The level of total cholesterol was increased with age and was higher in male than female after age of thirties.
4. The level of fasting blood sugar was increased with age over 30yr and was higher in male than female.
B. Studies on blood pressure, total cholesterol and fasting blood sugar by weight group.
1. The systolic and diastolic blood pressure were higher in overweighed group than non-overweighed group in both sex with exception of the age over 50yr in female.
2. The level of total cholesterol was higher in overweighed group than non-overweighed group in both sex with exception of the age of twenties in female.
3. The level of fasting blood sugar in male was higher in overweighed group than non-overweighed group and the level of fasting blood sugar in female was higher in overweighed group than non-overweighed group in the age of thirties and fifties.
