Abstract
Statistical Observation for Chief Complaints of Pediatric Out-Patients

Statistical analysis for chief complaints of pediatric out-patients who visited Kangwon Provincial Medical Center from Jan. to Dec. in 1980 was made.
1. Total No. of visits were 5,466, of which 3,137 were male (57.4%), 2,329 were female (42.6%) and male to female ratio was 1.3:1.
2. Most frequent chief complaints were cough, fever, vaccinetion, diarrhea, rhinorrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, skin lesion, mass and edema in order of frequency.
3. According to age, mass, jaundice and umbilical discharge were more frequent in newborn period, vaccination and skin lesion in the age of 1 month to 12 months, abdominal pain, edema and headache in over 7 years, than the other age groups.
4. According to season, skin lesion was more frequent in spring and summer, diarrhea, vomiting and abdominal pain in autumn, rhinorrhea and mass in winter, than the other seasons.
